Organizing committee of «Transport week - 2011» held a meeting on the 25th April at the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and approved the main topics for V Anniversary International Forum «Transport of Russia». The following plenary sessions will take place: on the 23d of November: «Transport of Russia: ecology, resource-saving and safety» and «Modern infrastructure for global events: encouraging a balanced development of transport networks». On the 24th of November will be held conferences «Water transport – new horizons», «Civil aviation and climate change» and AirCargoForum, . on 25th of November - conferences «Commercial and public transport: current status and development prospects» and «Implementation of the program to ensure public safety on railway transport».
The events of «Transport week» will be attended by more than 1000 delegates among which there will be representatives of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, Federal Agencies, legislative and executive authorities at federal and regional levels; largest Russian and foreign transport, logistics and insurance companies; banks; industry associations and also leading business and industry mass media.
As of today the participation has been confirmed by: Sergei Ivanov, the Vice Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation; Sergei Kovalev, the First Deputy of the President of the Russian Federation Operating Affairs; Peter Kucherenko, the Chairman of Management of the Council of railway transport of the states-participants of the Commonwealth; Alexander Malov, the president of the all-Russian industry association of employers in road economy «ASPOR».
Organizing committee of «Transport week - 2011» approved zoning of V Anniversary international exhibition «Transport of Russia». The exposition will be divided into industrial sectors: railway transport, marine and river transport, air transport and civil aviation, automobile transport and roads. For the first time the following sectors will be presented: regional infrastructure projects, transport safety, eco transport. Participation in the exhibition has been confirmed by the leading companies of transport industry: OJSC «Sheremetyevo International Airport», OJSC «Russian Railways», OJSC «Sovfrakht», OJSC «Koltsovo International Airport», OJSC «International Airport Vnukovo», «Administration of the civil airports (airdromes)», SC «Russian Highways», OJSC «Rosmorport», OJSC «GTLK», CJSC «Kurganstalmost», CJSC «MDS - group», SC «Palmali», «St.Petersburg – Dorservis», SC «Transas», CJSC «Transmashholding», OJSC «USK Most» and others.
«Transport week – 2011» will take place on November 21-26 at EcoCentre «Sokolniki». Moreover the following events will be held as part of «Transport week - 2011»: II International Congress ROAD TRAFFIС RUSSIA – 2011 «Traffic Management in the Russian Federation», International Road Congress «Innovations in Road Infrastructure», Special Prize awarding to scientific societies and journalists, all-Russia arts festival for transport universities students «TranspART-2011», III Russian Sports Festival for transport universities students, Open Cup of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation in game sports.
